A Mac (macOS 11 or newer) or a Windows 10/11 PC. Both modules run on it in the background. Scout needs the email inboxes your store orders go to. Scale needs an eBay seller account with API access to connect your eBay, but it also works with manual entries. An iPhone and Discord are optional.

No. Both modules start when you log in and keep running after you close their windows. The computer just needs to be on and awake. Turn on Prevent automatic sleeping in System Settings > Energy to be safe.

Yes. Scout works on its own. Scale needs Scout: it gets your real costs and incoming stock from Scout, so every sale's profit is exact.

Yes. ScoutNScale runs on Mac and Windows. The phone app works on iPhone and Android: open your private link and add it to your Home Screen.

Each license works on one computer at a time, so a key can't be shared. Getting a new computer doesn't mean buying a new license: enter your key on the new one and click Move license to this computer (the old one is signed out), or choose Deactivate on the old computer first.

Your version number is at the bottom left of Scout and Scale. ScoutNScale looks for a new version every hour, or right away when you click the round arrow next to the version number. When a new version is out, a shining Update bar shows up there. Click it and ScoutNScale installs the update and reopens by itself, usually in under a minute. Your settings and history stay as they are. Updates are free and never required.

Trading cards and collectibles: Target, Walmart, Pokémon Center, Amazon, Bandai, Topps, EQL, Funko, Pop Mart, Mattel Creations, Hasbro Pulse and Schylling (NeeDoh). Sneakers and streetwear: Nike, adidas, Foot Locker, Champs Sports, Finish Line, JD Sports, Hibbett, New Balance, Supreme, Kith and Palace. It also reads UPS, FedEx and USPS emails to catch delays and returns.

Gmail, iCloud, Outlook (Outlook.com, Hotmail and Live), and any email that supports IMAP. You can connect up to 10 inboxes. Gmail and iCloud connect with an app password. Outlook connects with Sign in with Microsoft: you approve ScoutNScale on Microsoft’s own sign-in page, so you never give ScoutNScale your Outlook password.

No. Scout only tracks orders from the stores above, and skips stores like Temu entirely. Any purchase Scout isn't sure about asks you to mark it as an order or personal.

eBay sales come in automatically. Tradepost, local sales and trades can be added by hand in a few taps, and they still come out of your stock.

Only a listing's price, and only when you tap Update. It never changes shipping, handling time or quantity, so presale listings stay within eBay's rules. All market prices already include shipping costs, so there's no math on your end.

No. You get one alert for a buyer's first offer and one for their first message. More offers or messages from the same buyer don't post again.

On your computer, in a private ScoutNScale data folder. There is no ScoutNScale server holding your orders, sales, email passwords or eBay sign-in.

Over your home Wi-Fi, or over Tailscale when you're away. Each computer makes a private link that only your devices have, and you can replace it any time.

Open Manage monthly plan and sign in with the email you paid with. Stripe emails you a sign-in link. A canceled plan keeps working until the end of the month you paid for.
